Nude up a Tree
Oda-Lise-que, the model extraordinaire, got her way today. She posed in the apple tree. This was a rather tall old tree, as you can see in this drawing. Notice the belly button down on the tree's belly.
This next pose was so complex and wonderful I got confused which lines were tree and which were model. I'd like to make a big painting of this one. Lise announced after one pose that if she couldnt get down from the tree, we would have to call the fire department.

cool sketches. i especiaslly like the one on the bottom. how fun it would be to climb a tree in the nude!

LOL, Eileen. You should have seen/felt the bark on this old apple tree. Ouch! Lise was in heaven, she's a tree hugger, that one. And yet, don't you think most anything is better in the nude, except maybe frying bacon?

Wow this looks fun - either climbing trees naked or drawing person/tree entwined. I like this VERY much... :-) Great work by the way, and thanks for stopping by my blog too. Nice to meet you!

I like the lower left one the best too! I loved climbing treest when much younger - would hike a book up there with me and stay for hours. But the only nude thing I ever did was swim in the river - that was very cool - I can still remember (40 some years later) how great the water felt! Thanks for reminding me with these joyful sketches!

Hi Carla!
Love the freedom of your sketches and the inspiration! Your model has chutzpah! Ironically, I was supposed to attend a monthly art meeting of one of the groups I belong to. The theme involved costumes and I was going to "make a strong statement of my own about the need to be able show life drawings in public" (our area has laws against it!). So I was going to come in creative costume as Picasso's "Blue Nude", unbeknown to the rest of the group. (I think I shall use the idea another time because life interfered with me being able to attend the meeting.)
I'm here via an enthusiastic mention and link about you on Tammy's blog.I'll be back. It's great to meet other artists.Very cool pic of you w/ your artwork!
