Touching Art: the Blog has been quiet for the second half of 2008 because Touching Art: Diva Carla has been so active moving between worlds.
Ever since the Sun Moon Dance in Tennessee I have been swept up in the culmination of six years of initiation work with the Temple of Wombn. This included a 30 day medicine journey out west, embraced by sacred ceremonial space that does not surrender easily to typing.
After a month at home full of art making and season changing chores, and I was back in Tucson for more ceremony at the Temple's 10 Moon Initiation Coronation Celebration. Again, it defies language, but you will see the initiation in my art, and this blog, and in me, wherever you may meet me, for I am everywhere, it seems!
Touching Art has always been about more than Art, as my art has beeen a sensual chronicle of my spiritual life. This year of grieving ceremony, after Mama's death, crowned by the Diva Coronation, has clarified the form of my life and work. I am a Trinity of Touch, Art, and Ceremony.
Touching Art, the Blog continues to be a place where I discover what that looks like and how to express it for your joy and edification. I welcome you into this space.
