Today I joined the Help Haiti Blog Challenge. I designated a piece in my Etsy shop as the blog challenge piece, this One Body pendant also known as the Melting Hug by some of my fans.
I will donate $100 - the complete purchase price- to DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS on behalf of the person who buys this pendant through Etsy and pays by paypal.
Now, Pass it on. Read Kelly Diel's blog for details, and choose something you can offer to sell that can become money to send to help the folks in Haiti survive this disaster.
Thank you, Tammy Vitale, for inspiring me to do it. I didn't know how I could contribute until this idea came along!
Whatever effort you're making towards helping someone in Haiti, it's a good thing to do. But it probably would be more effective to just give $100 to somebody there and skip the middlemen, if only there was a way to do. Probably wouldn't matter who got the money, whether they were good or evil or rich or poor, it would all trickle down eventually.

Hi there, Jimmy. Thanks for your comment. The Help Haiti pendant sold last month, and $100 was promptly donated to Partners in Health. The buyer is thrilled to own a piece of my art, and I was able to make a bigger contribution to relief than I might have otherwise. So it was a win win!
